These Cherokee High School senior photos with horses were incredibly special for me.

I’ve photographed this sweet girl since she was little. She used to come to my Santa sessions every year, and watching kids grow up through the years is one of the most meaningful parts of this job. Seeing her now as a senior getting ready to graduate from Cherokee High School honestly feels a little surreal.

I couldn’t be more proud of the amazing young woman she has become.

Senior Photos with the Horses She Loves

For her senior session, we incorporated something that is a huge part of her life — horses.

The moment she stepped into the barn, you could tell she was completely in her element. Horses are truly her happy place, and she handled them like an absolute pro. Watching the way she interacted with them made it clear just how comfortable and confident she is around them.

These moments always make sessions feel so personal. The quiet moments between her and the horses ended up being some of my favorite images from the day.

Senior sessions should always reflect what someone loves, and for her, the barn and the horses were the perfect setting.

Celebrating a Cherokee High School Senior

We also captured some photos in her Cherokee High School graduation stole, which is always such a fun way to celebrate the end of this chapter.

Senior year is such a big milestone. It’s a season filled with excitement, memories, and a lot of anticipation for what comes next.

Seeing seniors I’ve photographed for years reach this point is always incredibly meaningful to me.

From Santa Sessions to Senior Photos

One of my favorite things about running Santa sessions each year is getting to watch families grow over time. Many of the kids who used to visit Santa in the studio are now graduating high school, which honestly makes the experience even more special.
