This Georgia Bulldogs cake smash was such a fun first birthday session at my Canton, GA photography studio. The entire set was filled with red, black and plenty of UGA football details.

This birthday boy arrived wearing a red Georgia number-one jersey. It could not have been more perfect for his first birthday photos!

A UGA First Birthday Theme

The set included red and black balloons, footballs and light-up ONE letters. We also added a UGA helmet and a large Georgia Bulldogs display.

The football details filled the set without taking attention away from the birthday boy. His bright red jersey pulled everything together perfectly.

Before bringing out the cake, we started with traditional first birthday portraits. This gave us time to capture his sweet smile and personality.

These simple portraits are an important part of every cake smash session. They document your baby exactly as they are at one year old.

Time for the Cake Smash

Once the cake arrived, it was time for the real fun!

He started slowly and carefully explored the cake. It did not take long for him to realize that making a mess was much more exciting.

Soon, the cake was completely torn apart. His hands, feet and little face were covered in icing. He looked very proud of his work!

The messy photographs are always some of my favorites. They capture real expressions and all the fun of the moment.

This little Georgia Bulldogs fan gave us plenty of smiles. He also showed us exactly how a cake smash should be done!
