Photography Summer Camp in Canton, GA: Summer 2025

Calling all young shutterbugs! I am thrilled to announce two exciting weeks of photography camps in summer 2025, right here in Canton, Georgia. Each session offers a unique opportunity for kids and teens to dive into the world of photography in a fun, engaging environment. Whether your child is just beginning or ready to learn advanced techniques, these camps will help them grow their creativity and technical skills.

Week 1 (June 23–27) – Exploring Photography for Younger Kids

During our first week, campers will discover the fundamentals of photography without feeling overwhelmed. I plan hands-on activities, games, and interactive lessons that introduce lighting, composition, and even a bit of photography history. Young photographers can join this camp with no camera required because the goal is to spark curiosity and encourage a love for creating images. Each day features simple projects, such as scavenger hunts and group challenges, so kids build confidence while having a blast.

Week 2 (July 7–11) – Advanced Techniques for Older Kids & Teens

The second week focuses on older kids and teens who want to dive deeper into photography. A DSLR camera is required for this session because we will explore aperture, ISO, and shutter speed in detail. Campers will learn how each component affects exposure and practice shooting in different scenarios. I will provide guided lessons to show them how to control their camera settings and capture the images they imagine. Each day includes hands-on practice, discussions, and photo critiques to build both technical skills and artistic vision.
