These Fall Family Photos in Canton GA were extra special for me. I’ve been photographing this family since Mom was pregnant with their sweet girl — almost eleven years ago now. Watching their kids grow year after year, seeing their personalities change and flourish… it’s one of the biggest gifts of being a photographer.

This year, we photographed their session right at home, and honestly? It could not have been more perfect. Their property was glowing with fall color, soft golden light, open fields, and the prettiest trees surrounding every corner. It felt calm, comfortable, and completely “them.”

A Relaxed, Meaningful Session at Home

There’s something so timeless about photographing families in the place where they live life every day. The kids were relaxed, Mom and Dad felt at ease, and the whole afternoon had this effortless flow to it.

We started in the open field where the sun was pouring through the trees — warm, golden, and dreamy. The colors were at their peak, and every time they laughed or looked at each other, the whole moment felt so genuine.

Then we moved up to their front porch, decorated beautifully for Christmas. The wreaths, lights, garland, and pops of red made the coziest backdrop. It felt festive without being overwhelming, and it was the perfect way to capture this season of life for them.

From there, we wandered around more of their property — long gravel drives, tall grasses, wide open views. Every spot had its own character, and each location gave us something a little different.
