When a mom sends over the cutest party invitation and says, “Can you match this for our cake smash?”—I go all in. This recent under the-sea cake smash session was a joy to design and capture. From custom props to bold colors, everything came together beautifully at my Canton, GA studio.

One of My Favorite Sets Yet

For this theme, I created oversized sea animals by hand—an adorable whale, dolphin, crab, and more. The colors were pulled straight from the party invite, making the whole session feel cohesive and party-ready. The birthday girl wore the sweetest little purple outfit that matched the set perfectly. She didn’t waste any time digging into her cake either—and let me tell you, her expressions were everything! She had us laughing the entire session with her over-the-top reactions and big personality. Honestly, she would have kept eating cake all day if we let her!
